10 – Remember when MAC was the only company making cream eyeshadows that actually lasted? Pretty much every makeup brand is trying to make their very own version. Maybelline Color Tattoos being one of the better dupes. I still come back to Paint Pots though. They give a beautiful clean and long lasting base for any eyeshadow look.
9 – This primer is amazing and I don’t know why it doesn’t get the love that it deserves. It’s a fluid-gel consistency that sets to a rubberised ‘second skin’ finish, completely smoothing over the look of pores and keeps oil at bay. I actually think this does a better job at smoothing pores than Benefit’s Porefessional.
8 – The 138 is probably the most expensive brush in my collection. The reason I’ve included this particular brush above all others is that one it was a gift to me and two I have yet to find a convincing dupe. I use this brush for just about everything base related; powder, blush, bronzer, contour, highlight, you name it. The tapered shape makes for quite a versatile brush, and it’s size and shape varies depending on the pressure you apply. Light pressure = small pointy brush; Strong pressure = big fluffy brush.
7 – I have always been a big fan of MAC Lip Pencils for a couple of reasons.
  • They come in a fantastic array of colors so you’re almost guarunteed to find something to match your lippie.
  • The texture is the perfect balance between hard and soft. Hard enough to be precise, soft enough to blend well and feel comfortable.
6 –  The mineral formula is very finely milled powder  with tiny specks of shimmer suspended in a peachy pink base. It can be dusted lightly for a subtle flush, or built up to rosy red cheeks. I absolutely love it, and I’m not much into blushes.
5 – I go back and forth between the MAC Brow Pencils and the Anastasia Brow Wiz. I love them both and I honestly don’t think I could choose between them, they are quite different after all. MAC’s offering is more pigmented and softer with a finer nib, so like to use it for precise and dramatic brows, while Anastasia gives a softer more natural look. MAC’s teeny tiny nib makes drawing individual hairs a cinch – although Lord knows why you would want to do that, talk about tedious.
4 – I love this foundation. It’s compact so carry with you and it provides full coverage and it’s also great for touch ups. MAC classify this as a full coverage foundation and I agree, you can get mega coverage from these bad boys. You can also use a light hand and a soft fluffy brush to apply these as setting powders; they will leave a sheer layer of coverage and mattify the skin while making it look super duper smooth. I also use these as bronzers and even contours for fair skin, and conversely as matte highlights on darker skin. The shade range is amazing so you should be able to find a color to suit your needs.
3 –  I love this stuff so much. That is all I have to say about this product for now. A full on review will be coming soon.
2 – This concealer is densely pigmented, very soft and easy to blend and works amazingly well at covering redness, blemishes and to a certain extent, under the eyes. I love the little palettes you can get now with 6 different shades of concealer and color corrector, and the handy little duos on counter look like a great thing to carry in your handbag.
1 – I only use this powder oh how about, ALL of the time. Let me list the reasons why I love this powder in some handy dandy bullet points
  • It’s fine and soft and never cakes
  • It gives a little bit of coverage (not too much!) and layers without caking – perfect for popping in your handbag
  • The color range is excellent and most of the shades have a lovely neutral tone.
  • It’s mattifying, but not too mattifying, leaving a soft healthy sheen to the skin.
  • It works great all over, as a brow highlight and cheek highlight at which is my main use for the product
For these reasons and more, this is my holy grail powder and why I use it in just about all of the time. I also love using a darker shade as a bronzer because they’re so easy to blend and look so natural on the skin.
