Tomato Basil Balsamic Salad
1:04 PMOk so I would to start off by saying, I absolutely LOVE tomatoes! They are the best thing ever to touch my taste buds. So now that I got that out the way, here is a recipe that not only tastes good but is also healthy. If you try this out then take a pic and hash tag it "tlsrecipes". I'd love to see them.
This salad always reminds me of summer time! I love that it looks just as delicious as it tastes. It is such a wonderful treat, and is full of lycopene from the tomatoes. Lycopene helps keep the skin looking youthful. Basil and tomato is perhaps the most satisfying culinary relationship in existence. This is a low calorie, low carb, and low fat dish to enjoy any time.

- 2 Large Heirloom or Plum Tomatoes, sliced
- 1/2 Cup Cherry Tomatoes, sliced in halves
- 1 Cup of Fresh Basil, sliced into long pieces
- Balsamic Vinegar
- 1/4 tbsp. Olive Oil
- Oregano
- Sea Salt
- Place tomatoes on cookie sheet and place in oven at 400 for about 5-10 mins.
- Remove after they are slightly roasted
- Combine tomatoes, and basil in a large bowl.
- Top with balsamic vinegar and olive oil
- Toss salad lightly to coat with balsamic and oil
- Finish with a dash of dried oregano and sea salt
